What does Mrs Bethany want with the wraiths? Can Lucas learn to control his hunger? And can a wraith and a vampire ever be together? Hmm, bad Lucas, bad! I thought the author handled it really well, and actually managed to make a happily ever after out of a vampire and a wraith! Overall; a great end to the series. And no one should give up on a series just because of the first book.
And she accomplished a lot just by writing "Afterlife", the last installment to the Evernight series. The story immediately starts up where "Hourglass" 3rd book of the series leaves us. The tragic end of a character so close to the readers. I was surprised to find unpredictable moments in this book and found myself regretting calling this series cliche.
It indeed had its uniqueness with the main and secondary characters as well as rarely mentioned supernatural beings and the plot overall. All the characters managed to grow physically, emotionally and as characters themselves. They are more pleasing now than they ever were in the beginning of the series.

Bethany and to free the wraiths on the night of the Autumn Ball. It got old very fast mostly because it was the same dialog over and over. They track her down to a rundown cinema. Vic gives nearly everyone he knows an unusual nickname and speaks in a very laidback style ex: May 07, Carol rated it really liked it. About the plot it was so slow going and almost painful to read. Bethany but is freed by Christopher who sacrifices himself for her. Balthazar More is the friend of Bianca and at one point in the series her love interest.
